The Microsoft Digital Village gave learners a chance to experience the latest technology
on 100 pc's with internet access. This first-time experience of bridging the digital
divide forms part of the continuing social fascilitation process of GDE's Gauteng Online
initiative, the largest ICT project in Africa.
The Role Models Exhibition was a vibrant showcase of "Visionaries in Action Across Africa" -
people and organisations whom the learners believe are making a significant contribution
to sustainable development, especially in the spirit of Letsema.
In partnership with the Children's Earth Summit in Somoho, we presented the Johannesburg
Children's Declaration by WSSD Youth Delegates from 10 countries, highlighting the five
issues deemed most critical by children/youth:
- Education

- Basic Rights
- Pollution
